Car stuck in Poudre River for months removed Saturday DENVER (KDVR) -- A car that has been parked in the Poudre River since early July was removed Saturday.It started on July 9 when the car, a blue Toyota, left the road around 11 p.m. and crashed near mile marker 104 on Highway 14. It has been in the river there ever since. Photos: Draft horse rescued from bog The driver stayed on the roof of the car until sunrise the next morning and the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said he was taken to the hospital for hypothermia but was otherwise uninjured.At the time, the water levels were too high for crews to safely remove the vehicle, so LCSO said responders decided to postpone the vehicle removal. Rain kept water high all summer long, but water levels dropped significantly over the last couple of weeks. 2 injured in shooting on Far South Side CHICAGO — Police say an investigation is underway after a shooting on the city's Far South Side left two people injured.According to Chicago police, the shooting happened in the 200 block of East 130th Street just before 8:30 p.m. Offices say two people, a 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, were inside a car when someone pulled up in a dark-colored vehicle and began firing shots.  10 people, including 4 police officers, injured in crash, shooting on South Side Police say the man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm and the woman was shot in the hand. 1 dead, 3 injured after fiery crash in unincorporated Mundelein LAKE COUNTY, Ill. — A man is dead and three people are injured after a fiery crash in unincorporated Mundelein on Saturday afternoon, authorities say.According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived on the scene in the 29000 block of Gilmer Road in Fremont Township around 4:45 p.m. and found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. 4 hospitalized after shooting in Uptown Authorities say a 66-year-old man and his three passengers were traveling southbound along Gilmer Road in a 2019 Ford Expedition when the driver swerved and veered off the road before crashing into a tree.
