More activity is great for your furry friend, but there are some precautions and things to be aware of during the warmer temperatures.Keep cool. Be aware of the outside temperatures and humidity as our pets can overheat just like we can. Animals will not always stop playing just because they get hot, so it is up to us pet parents to monitor them and prevent overheating. The normal temperature for dogs is 100-102.5 degrees Fahrenheit, so if your pet’s temperature (taken rectally) is over 104, start to cool them down by wetting them with cool water, then get them to the nearest veterinarian as soon as possible. Police search for supermarket bandit who swiped $400 worth of meat

Police are searching for a man that stuffed his backpack with hundreds of dollars worth of meat products in a West Miami grocery store.The stealing spree happened at Tropical Supermarket on Southwest 8th Street on July 3, but it wasn’t the first time that the store has been the victim of a crime like this.“It did start out as a theft, but escalated when the subject pulled out a knife to an armed robbery,” said West Miami Police Department Detective Richard Menor.Surveillance footage displayed a criminal grocery run involving an armed man, along with a dispute over steaks and salami.“We really want to get this person off the street,” said the detective.Menor said he wants to find the man that stole about $400 of the store’s meat products. The marching band from Florida Memorial University (FMU) is off to France for a major performance. Now, those behind the music are sharing their excitement as they set out to prove themselves on a world stage.From late-night rehearsals on campus to center stage in Paris, France, FMU becomes the first American college marching band to perform at the Festival Des Bandafolie. “Honestly, we were just doing what we do every day and the people from France reached out to us they’ve been watching our videos and they reached out to my assistant director and said, ‘We would love for you guys to consider coming to our event,'” said Director of bands at FMU Richard Beckford.
