ST. PETERS, Mo. - Major developments Wednesday morning in the terrifying case of a woman who was shot in a Schnucks parking lot in St. Peters.Investigators now know who they’re looking for, and they think he could be responsible for other recent crimes as well. Authorities have identified the suspect as 24-year-old Tyrone Miller from O’Fallon, Illinois.Miller has been charged with three felonies in this case, and an arrest warrant is out for him. St. Peter’s police told FOX 2 Wednesday morning, though, that Miller is still on the loose.The frightening incident happened last Friday evening in the Schnucks parking lot. ST. LOUIS - A Missouri gun law is now considered unconstitutional by a federal judge, but the legal battle appears to be far from over.Some law enforcement officers feared the law would have unintended consequences when it comes to fighting crime, but Attorney General Andrew Bailey vows to keep fighting for it as it's written.The Second Amendment Preservation Act is also known as 'SAPA.' It was passed in 2021, and made it illegal for police to enforce federal gun laws that are not included in state statutes. It also allows people to sue police departments for up to $50,000 if they feel like an officer is violating their Second Amendment rights.The Missouri attorney general plans to fight in court to uphold the law as it's written, saying if the state legislature wants to expand the foundational rights in the Second Amendment, they have the authority to do that. PEKIN, Ill. (WMBD) - There's been a confirmed celebrity sighting in Central Illinois. Actor-comedian Will Ferrell was spotted at Maquet's Rail House in Pekin Tuesday. A restaurant employee confirmed Ferrell was there. The restaurant's Facebook page also posted a picture of Ferrell at the restaurant, citing the actor was "filming on our pizza side."Monday, the actor-comedian was also spotted at a Walmart parking lot in Beech Grove, Indiana, alongside a production crew. LOUIS - The City of St. Louis is offering housing, transportation, and additional resources to those living in a tent community along the Mississippi River in the Laclede’s Landing area.As of Tuesday, a city spokesperson said 14 individuals had accepted the help being offered. ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) — A prisoner who has been behind bars for decades for a St. Louis-area killing has pleaded guilty to one of four other deaths he has been linked to by prosecutors.Gary Muehlberg, 73, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison Monday in the 1990 death of 21-year-old Sandy Little, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.Prosecutors said in September that Muehlberg had confessed to killing Little and three other women in 1990. The confessions came after prosecutors promised not to seek the death penalty.He has served 28 years of a life sentence for the 1993 killing of Kenneth Atchison, of St. Louis County. ST. LOUIS -- For the first time ever, city voters will begin the process for choosing board of aldermen members under a 14-ward makeup. The number of city wards has been reduced from 28.A total of 40 candidates are on the ballot Tuesday in the different wards.
