ST. LOUIS - Police need help searching for a missing woman Tuesday morning. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are looking for 75-year-old Bettye Jean Smith-Hogan. She is 5'7", 160 pounds, with gray hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen at 9:00 a.m. at 920 Harlan Avenue. Police tie 12-year-old girl to overnight crime spree Her family discovered that she was missing after seeing that her belongings were packed, but there was no indication of where she was going. Smith-Hogan previously spoke about her plans to return to her hometown in Mississippi. ST. LOUIS - Authorities arrested one man accused of firing shots at St. Louis police officers overnight as they attempted to stop a driver in a stolen vehicle. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says police arrested a 26-year-old shortly after the gunfire. The incident unfolded just before midnight in the 5000 block of Union Boulevard in the Mark Twain neighborhood. Police tie 12-year-old girl to overnight crime spree Investigators say two SLMPD officers were attempting to stop a stolen vehicle when they heard gunshots close by. They quickly stopped their patrol vehicle and left he car in response. A witness claimed that a suspect had pointed a gun toward officers from a bus stop and fired shots at their patrol vehicle. Police responded to the bus stop at the corner of Union Boulevard and Lillian Avenue and approached one man. ST. LOUIS - Two women were injured Monday in separate shootings in north St. Louis.According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the first shooting occurred at 3:20 p.m. near the intersection of East Grand Boulevard and North 20th Street, in the College Hill neighborhood.The 33-year-old victim told police she was sitting in her parked vehicle when a woman approached her and asked for money. The victim said she did not have any money.The person walked away, but returned moments later and fired a shot at the car. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to her leg and the suspect ran away.EMS took the victim to a local hospital. She's listed in stable condition. KANSAS CITY, Kan. (WDAF) – Dayton Borisouth said he was trying to do a good deed by helping his uncle jumpstart his car outside a Walmart in Kansas City, Kansas, on June 1. He had no idea it would soon become the worst day of his life.Borisouth, 24, finished helping his uncle and ran inside the Walmart to purchase a frozen pizza to take home to his wife and 2-year-old daughter. It should have been a quick visit, but it turned violent when a off-duty police officer working security approached Borisouth as he was leaving the self-checkout area.“As I get up to the door, I see in the reflection, he’s heading towards me very rapidly," Borisouth told Nexstar's WDAF.
