Bicycle Accident near Hughes Lane Left Man HospitalizedBAKERSFIELD, CA (December 19, 2023) – A man was sent to a hospital Thursday morning following a bicycle-auto collision on Wilson Road.Police responded to the incident around 9:25 a.m. in the area of Wilson Road and Hughes Lane.According to the investigators, a northbound minivan on Hughes Lane failed to stop at a red light for unknown reasons.Consequently, the minivan crashed into a pickup truck traveling westbound. The impact of the first collision caused the pickup to hit a man riding a bicycle.Responding medical personnel transported the male bicyclist to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
