ST. LOUIS - A new community festival kicked off on Cherokee Street Thursday in the Green Light District in honor of 4/20, the unofficial marijuana holiday. The three-day-long Cannabis Crawl has events happening throughout the weekend."We have discounts on retail, on restaurants, on even tattoos," said Brennan England, the founder of Cannabis Crawl. A former Denver Health paramedic has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for tampering with fentanyl intended for patient use.Christopher Robert Pattinson, 41, of Commerce City, was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Court Judge Charlotte N. Sweeney, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Colorado, news release.Pattinson, a former paramedic field lieutenant supervisor, stole about 1,900 vials of fentanyl from his department over a four-year period for his personal use, the release said.In the last few months of his employment Pattinson, who concealed his crimes by altering hospital narcotics logs and making false entries in the hospital records, tampered with fentanyl vials intended for patient use. Pattinson tampered with the narcotics, removing fentanyl vials from a locked narcotics supply cabinet, and replacing the drug with a clear liquid believed to be saline, according to the release. A San Jacinto man was arrested for murder following a domestic violence incident involving his wife on Thursday. Deputies with the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Department responded to an assault with a deadly weapon in the 1700 block of South Santa Fe Avenue around 7:35 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman dead with multiple sharp injuries inside an apartment, according to a press release. After securing the area as a crime scene and beginning an investigation, authorities with the Central Homicide Unit determined the case as a domestic violence incident. (KRON) -- A woman stole $3,900 worth of sunglasses on Tuesday, according to a press release from the Palo Alto Police Department. Around 10:40 a.m., nine pairs of sunglasses were reported stolen from Macy's at Stanford Shopping Center.A suspect linked to the theft was arrested, the release said. San Francisco woman Francesca Marie Maufas, 35, was arrested and taken to Santa Clara County Main Jail. She was also charged with resisting arrest. In trying to escape the officers after fleeing the department store, Maufas disregarded police commands during a traffic stop, according to Palo Alto police. The woman then backed into and hit a patrol car.
