Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service experts said plants and vegetation are experiencing heat stress with extreme temperatures during the daytime and nighttime.Cattle are also being impacted with cows consuming less as they look for shade to escape the heat. GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - The city of Glens Falls says that no new complaints are coming in about discolored water coming from taps - but the city isn't done keeping an eye on the situation. City residents reported murky water coming from pipes throughout the week of July 24. The problem was believed to have emerged as a result of exceptionally high flow running through the city water system. As the system underwent an unusually high degree of stress, turbidity rose.As of Monday, the city is still following up with some residents dealing with brown water. Glens Falls Water and Sewer Superintendent Bill Norton said that no additional complaints have been heard in the last five days. SAND LAKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened in Sand Lake on State Route 150 on Saturday. Police say Steven Zipkin (39, Nassau), sustained severe injuries and was declared dead at the scene. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! On Saturday, around 6:53 p.m., troopers responded to State Route 150 in Sand Lake for reports of a car and motorcycle crash with severe injuries. Police say on arrival, they identified Zipkin as the motorcycle driver. Police say after an investigation, they found Zipkin was overtaking cars southbound and had failed to observe a car entering the roadway and struck it. QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Hudson Falls woman was arrested for grand larceny in the fourth degree. According to New York State Police, Lesley L. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Attorney General's office says that a man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for his role in the death of Karla Delcour in 1987. Kirby King pled guilty to manslaughter and felonious restraint in June. FARMINGTON, Mo. -- A man was killed while attempting to walk across US 67 in Farmington Saturday night. Tommy Shafer, 50, was hit by a SUV and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says that Shafer was crossing US 67 at around 9 p.m. on the ramp from Missouri 221.
