Man accused of stealing cooking oil from L.A. restaurants A man wanted in connection with a string of commercial-kitchen grease thefts was arrested late last month, authorities with the Beverly Hils Police Department announced Monday.  The suspect, identified as Alfred Jose Padilla of Lynwood, was taken into custody after an “investigative traffic stop” just before 2 a.m. on March 24, according to a BHPD news release. While authorities did not provide the exact location of the traffic stop or say how much stolen grease he had on him, they did note that the suspect was also in possession of a loaded firearm and a controlled substance. Tourist missing in San Francisco after cruise ship sailed without her A tourist has been reported missing in San Francisco after failing to board a cruise ship, police said.Alaina Adams (San Francisco Police Department) Alaina Marie Adams, 33, was supposed to have been on the Celebrity Solstice, which departed Pier 27 on Monday evening after an overnight stay.The woman who reported her missing around 6 p.m. Monday said she did not know where Adams was when they last had contact by phone.Adams is 5-foot-4, 140 pounds, with tattoos behind both ears and on her right foot. Child dies after being attacked by a dog in Frederick Co. A 2-year-old boy is dead after being attacked by a dog in Frederick County, Maryland, on Tuesday evening.The boy had played with the dog all day on Tuesday in Brunswick, Maryland, but as he and his family were leaving a relative’s home, the dog attacked him, police told WTOP.The dog is a pit bull and mastiff mix, and is now being held in quarantine.More Frederick County NewsMore Local NewsWhen police arrived at the home in the 400 block of West B Street at around 5:15 p.m., they found the boy suffering from a dog bite.
